So things have been a little crazy the last few weeks. We have had our refrigerator stop working and froze everything in it for about a week, the lights in the kids bedroom and the laundry room broke-we thought it was just the fuse, but ended up being something more and Kyle has put new windows in the bedrooms (dad helped with that) and last weekend put in a new big front window. He did a great job and has become quite handy!!!
Brandon had a play tonight that he did with his school class on the planets. He was very excited about it and did a great job! Acting is right up his alley because he LOVES to be the center of attention and is very dramatic..thus a great actor. He just tried out for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and he is going to be Grandpa Jo, which is what he was hoping for, so he is thrilled! He isn't in any sports at the moment, which seems a little strange, but nice. He will start wrestling in January, which he always looks forward to. He is such a smart kid and LOVES school so all is well.
Alivia was just in a Mary Poppins play and she was one of the chimney sweeps. She had so much fun and looked so cute! It was fun to watch her. She adores school and is exited every single day to go! She loves to read and is such a great student! She always does everything that she is supposed to, she is defenitely our little sweetheart!
Hallie is in afternoon kindergarten this year and also loves it! We were so worried that she wasn't going to like it and that it would be a fight every day-she is our most stubborn-but she looks forward to going each day and is doing very well there. She is my little helper and loves to play games! She was asking me tonight (in a whisper because Alivia was already asleep) all about Santa and how he travels and if Jesus knew Santa and if Jesus had a Christmas tree...she is such a cutie! She is so extremely silly most of the time, I love it when she is so serious. She gets this little look on her face, it makes me want to bite her cute little cheeks!!! I love it!!!
As for Kyle and I...all is well. Kyle is doing well at work, which keeps him quite busy. He is also the Elders Quorum President at church, but other than Sundays, it isn't too crazy. As I said at the first, he has become handy and does a lot of things around the house. He is such a riot! One of these nights I am going to hide a video camera and video him acting like a goon! He is always doing something silly to get the kids going. He's a great father and husband and I feel very blessed to have him!
I am home with the kids and I now have a whopping 3 hours to myself each afternoon when the kids are at school. It seems like a lot of time, but I don't seem to accomplish a whole lot. I can't figure it out...I guess I need to work on that. Things are well though, and we are looking forward to our trip back to Utah on Christmas eve!!! We just got our first snow that actually stuck, this is early for here, so I am hoping that it doesn't mean that we are in for a bad winter....time will tell. I will try to post some snow pictures sometime in the next while. Sorry that I went on and on. I usually don't have much to say, but tonight it just all rolled out...Have a great week! Kate
